Photos and videos are stored locally, subject to your cleanup settings. They are exported only when a parent chooses. Optional anonymous usage sharing is off by default and controlled in Parent Settings. There are no ads, accounts, or advertising trackers.

Your photos and videos
Captures and creative edits are stored in the app's private storage on your device. We do not receive or upload this content. The app does not browse your existing personal photo library. Parents can authorize saving starred items to Photos; exported items are then governed by your Photos and iCloud settings.
Local cleanup follows the retention and storage settings you choose. Protected favorites may exceed the storage budget. Session-only cleanup removes unprotected items from prior sessions on the next launch. Deleting the app deletes its local gallery. Save important memories to Photos first.
Optional anonymous usage sharing
Version 1.1 introduces this optional setting. Version 1.0 does not include custom usage reporting. Apple’s aggregate analytics are described separately below.
Sharing is off by default. A parent can enable or disable it after authenticating in Parent Settings. The camera, gallery, and creative tools work without an internet connection or analytics sharing.
When enabled, the app sends counts of app use, feature use, and successful or failed actions to a first-party endpoint. These help us understand which existing tools are useful and where reliability needs attention. Counts are grouped by day and include the app version. They do not include:
- Photos, videos, audio, captions, drawings, or other creative content
- Names, email addresses, contacts, location, or file paths
- Advertising identifiers, device identifiers, account identifiers, or stable installation or session identifiers
- Free-text input or a record of an individual child's activity sequence
Each daily batch has a random receipt used only to prevent counting a retried upload twice. Receipts do not identify a person or device. The app keeps unsent counts within a 14-calendar-day reporting window while offline and removes expired local counts when the app next runs. Turning sharing off stops future reports and deletes pending local counts.
Retry receipts use a 16-calendar-day window, and server-side daily totals use a 180-calendar-day reporting window. Expired server records are removed when the service next processes a reporting or intake request; a dormant service does not delete records on a separate timer. Because there is no individual profile or stable identifier, we cannot retrieve or remove one person's contribution from aggregate totals.
Network requests necessarily expose an IP address to the service receiving the connection. Our collector does not read, record, or store client IP addresses, User-Agent strings, or request headers in analytics records. Infrastructure providers may process connection information to deliver and secure the service. The app includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDK.
Apple's aggregate analytics
Apple may provide us with aggregated App Store performance, app usage, retention, deletion, and crash information, subject to Apple's privacy protections and your device's analytics-sharing settings. This is separate from the app's optional usage-sharing setting. We cannot identify an individual who has uninstalled the app.
Device permissions and parent controls
The camera is used to take photos and videos. Microphone permission supports video audio. Add-only Photos permission is requested for parent-enabled saving; it does not permit browsing your library. You can manage permissions in iOS Settings.
Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode protects Parent Settings through Apple's LocalAuthentication system. The app receives an authentication result, not your biometric data or passcode. App preferences are stored locally.
Children's privacy
The app is designed for children with parent-controlled settings. It does not ask a child for a name, account, contact details, or location. Optional usage reports contain only the limited counts described above and are used to improve this app, not to build advertising profiles or track people across apps.
This website and support email
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Its hosting provider may process technical request information to serve and protect the site. If you email support, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include. Use that channel for parent support and avoid sending children's personal information or photos unless needed for a specific support request. Support correspondence is used to respond to you; it is not added to app usage reports.
Changes and questions
We update the date above when this policy changes. Material changes to optional sharing will be reflected in the app and this policy. Contact us to ask questions about these practices or request deletion of support correspondence.
